Day after Christmas

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006

Its been a tough year and Christmas was just the breather that I was  waiting for.
Anyway, I thought you should know that Dec 25 was the day the soul music died. James Brown, the Father of soul music died of pneumonia on his hometown of Georgia and as a tribute to the father of soul, Id be playing his music on my iPod the whole week.
Its sad coz there’ll be no other that can fill his shoes.
Just last week, Peter Boyle (of Everybody Loves Raymond) died of cancer.
Two years ago, alot of people died from tsunami that struck Asia.
Its a sad, sad, sad year.

Fatigue

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

I noticed that Ive been cursing and cussing a lot these days.
Well, blame it on the traffic, MMDA traffic policeman, A-Hole Drivers and Pedestrians who dont give a shit on where they are going

Its been a crazy 30 days Im telling you. You get smashed, drunk, sad and lonely then slowly you pick urself up and rise above the crap and ashes of your experience and getting that second wind to have that extra motivation to move on and live…REVENGE

Soon, Ill pick up all the pieces and have my revenge, my karma.
Like what Earl said, Do Good things and good things will come to you, Do bad things and bad things will come to haunt you.
Funny and juvenile but True.

On a lighter note, the past seven days are all spent partying, drinking booze, getting hangovers, night of good and loud music and working out at the gym. No wonder I got fatigued.
Im sure most of you have spent your holiday parties with a bang and bling blings heheh. Imlooking forward to a brand new party ahead.
Ilabas na ang Soju at Red wine
pati korean barbecue and noodles!
Lets make this one an unforgettable 2006.
Cheers!

Most ridiculous

Is it me or its just that Im not feeling the rush?
Honestly, I dont like driving in Manila starting from the 10th of December until 23rd since its one hell of a traffic in the metro considering the busloads of people criss crossing the street and the surge in motor vehicles on the street at the same time.
I can only estimate the amount of wasted energy (petroleum) from idling cars, wasted energy (effort to wait) for commuters to extend their misery inside a stalled jeepneys and wasted time for each and every juan de lca cruz screwing around the metro.

Guess who’s slipping?
I came across www.pba.ph and it seems to me that Alaska Aces Tim Cone is on the verge of snapping his neck anytime soon. Considering the number of championship rings he got and now what he got are a team of big paycheck hoodlums that cant bring any bacon at the end of 4th quarter. Too bad for the man who effectively introduced the Triangle Offense over at a-used-to-be explosive team who efficiently squared it off with any team any time of the day.

Airplanes and Ships
I was expecting this kind of article ever since Cebu Pacific converted itself into a Low-cost carrier and effectively got a slice of the domestic  pie.
Click on the following for your reference:

  1. Budget-fare dogfight boosts economy, but sinks shipping firms
  2. Bombing Aboitiz, Sulpicio and Negros out of the water
  3. PAL and CEB, the old big players, are shooting back
  4. Govt welcomes more budget airlines to meet tourism targets

Got Christmas? You get Traffic!
Quite frankly I still dont get the fever combo-ed with the amount of time wasted on traffic which are directly caused by the sudden surge of pedestrians and vehicles.
Its either you leave for your destination very early and get back to your home very late. Hmm this is bad news for people with not enuff cash to hold it in for 14 hrs at the mall in order to avoid any inconvenience. this is bad news for me, wala na ako pera e.

Foodies galore!
Of course, with the season comes along heavy spending on sick material things and food for those people who just got their measly bonuses. Im just wondering if the big spenders have opted to save some for the coming dry months..
By January, ill be putting a shop with a different vibe for you guys out there so u better watch out and lets see if it works coz ur freakin invited.

Im not scrooge but i think tama ung sinasabi ng mga matatanda na ang pasko ay para sa mga bata…If you look at it closer, its the kids that enjoys the season so much that the elders over-commercialize it for them.

Im looking forward for serenity and a simple family dinner this christmas season, hope it gets rewarded.

Christmas/New Year Countdown…

Monday, December 11th, 2006

Its that time of the year boys and girls where everybody spend their time, effort, energy, good vibes and money for the longest holiday parade of the season.
It is also that time of the year where people start counting their blessings in preparation for another year of bountiful harvest.
I have to revisit my 05 year ender blog and re-assess where I am today.

06 Yearender coming up like you didnt know it happened.

That’s Life

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

After watching some tv shows. I stumped on a classic and not just a classic but Frank Sinatra’s That’s Life track.
Hope you’d get to download this track coz its a cool and perfect for the cool weather (yeah like it made any sense)
here are the lyrics:

That’s life, that’s what all the people say.
You’re riding high in April,
Shot down in May
But I know I’m gonna change that tune,
When I’m back on top, back on top in June.

I said that’s life, and as funny as it may seem
Some people get their kicks,
Stompin’ on a dream
But I don’t let it, let it get me down,
‘Cause this fine ol’ world it keeps spinning around

I’ve been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate,
A poet, a pawn and a king.
I’ve been up and down and over and out
And I know one thing:
Each time I find myself, flat on my face,
I pick myself up and get back in the race.

That’s life
I tell ya, I can’t deny it,
I thought of quitting baby,
But my heart just ain’t gonna buy it.
And if I didn’t think it was worth one single try,
I’d jump right on a big bird and then I’d fly

I’ve been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate,
A poet, a pawn and a king.
I’ve been up and down and over and out
And I know one thing:
Each time I find myself laying flat on my face,
I just pick myself up and get back in the race

That’s life
That’s life and I can’t deny it
Many times I thought of cutting out
But my heart won’t buy it
But if there’s nothing shakin’ come this here july
I’m gonna roll myself up in a big ball and die
My, My

Whatever It takes

Monday, December 4th, 2006

Its been rough and tumbling fornight already.
Sometimes you just cant shake off things that you took easily for granted. You cant easily forget the things you had in common. Dreams pile up and hope increases while motivation slows down and desperation are scattered aplenty.
This I know for quite sometime now.
I have been known to chase my dreams up til the end and almost always I end up reaching the dream but unknowingly and unexpectedly I hurt important people along the way.
I paid my dues and I tell you some of it are still getting paid by the day.
But what costs a dream?
A very dear friend is celebrating her first year of marriage and still the prime motivation of marrying her husband for the purpose of bearing a child has not yet been granted, then what costs a dream?
A friend is being tried for lying at the other side of the planet and she doesnt wanna go home empty handed for the kids’ future. Tell me, what a dream costs?
Im personally struggling with my own affairs in order to reach my dreams which will take my future to another phase, at the cost of losing my relationship among other things, what does a dream costs?
Earlier today I woke up with something stinging inside my head…Im going to do whatever it takes.
